From The Desk Of The President

February 2, 2012

Greetings to All:

I am pleased to extend my warmest regards to each member. I want to take this opportunity to thank this great association for allowing me to serve as your President for these past two years. We have accomplished much.

I am looking forward to a great celebration during our 84th Annual Convention. As your State President, I am honored to have special guest coming to be a part of the celebration in the personage of the famous Clifton Davis better known from the TV series “AMEN”. This Convention promises to be one of the best in the History of our Association. You won’t want to miss it.

Please plan to bring the entire family for fun, fellowship, friendship and enjoy the informational accredited seminars.

I want to also thank each District for the way you have rallied for these past 2 years in accomplishing all the goals and initiatives of this administration. Local Districts’ have realized a greater unity with Community Service projects ranging from Richmond District and Northern Neck joining efforts and Feeding the Hungry, and providing Christmas wishes for families; Norfolk District providing Food Baskets to families and giving over 100 Books to the Homeless Shelter and The Battered Women’s Shelter; Western District providing toiletries and Goodies baskets to over 20 Nursing Facilities in their Western District; Peninsula providing Food Boxes to needy families, Northern Virginia, providing back packs filled with back to school items for area children and donated Thanksgiving food boxes to families of need and of course the Southside District went far and above with providing meals to those families in need. Districts continued to show support with the VMA Unity Walk, Take a Break Day, and various Christmas Parties, Seminars and other fun gatherings. I simply want to say THANK YOU.

We are not done yet, the final initiative, the Haiti Project. Don’t forget to join us for lunch March 13, 2012 at 12:30pm when we will end the Haiti Project Campaign with the presentation of the check to build the house. We anticipate representatives from the Lott Carey Foreign Mission Association and other special guest. I commend each member, and each District for your outstanding commitment and your great cooperative spirit. May you all be truly blessed.

See you in Virginia Beach.

I am yours always in Service;

Connie B. Steele
